Well, since Burnshead is the only reader and all he does is make fun of me, I've decided to quit blogging altogether. No this is not a plea for sympathy, "please blog again Tim!" comments...
It's summer, and blogging has become a chore, and you can tell how I feel about chores due to my lack of presence. It was fun. Bye now!

Finish what you started
Blogworthy events have cropped up in my life! I'll be blogging throughout the course of my latest home improvement adventure. We're finishing our basement!
Contributing factors to my decision to take on this project doing almost all of the work myself:
-I work for myself, therefore I am not "flush" with finances
-I like doing home projects
-I grossly overestimate my own abilities
-It's been far too long since I've seen the inside of an emergency room
Along the way here are a few expectations:
-I will get in trouble with my wife
-I will get high off of some kind of fume
-I will visit the emergency room at least once
-I will visit Menards at least 17 times
-I will break something (potentially me)
-I will consume at least one beer during any and all basement work sessions
I know these are lofty goals, but I'm known for being ambitious...and by that I mean, anything but.

Is facebook the new blogger?
In the interests of coming back to post here, just to prove I'm still alive....
Is facebook the new blogger? Before you answer that, here are some observations. As usual I have no actual data to back up these claims, as I'm lazy and I need to get back to work. I have noticed in the past months that it's not just me who has fallen off the blogger map. It seems people are posting less, and when they do, it's just a quick "hey I'm still here!" post. I've also noticed many folks doubling their posts in facebook. Now, I'm pretty new to the facebook world, but it just causes me to wonder, is blogger going out? Is it the next AIM or MySpace? Facebook has been around awhile, and if the life cycles of online social networking tools hold true, it has to be nearing the downslide of its own hysteric popularity. Thoughts?
PS - Your cat is more like Garfield than Brian (even though he's a dog)...deep, huh?

Two Scoops
The next Wesley "Two Scoops" Barry, won it all last night.
Evan Dollard, the ridiculous contender made the Gladiators look like schoolgirls. When this kid (who doesn't look like he could hurt a fly, mind you) first walked into the show, he dominated his competition, setting record times on both The Wall (:27sec) and The Eliminator (1:30ish). In the semi-finals, he beat both those records (:20 on The Wall and 1:23 on The Eliminator)....he walks into the finals and beats those records again! This kid was simply outstanding....
So my two questions today are
1. How much bigger will this kid be next year when he is a gladiator?
(he currently stands 5'10" 160lbs)
2. What should his new gladiator name be?

The High Road
Burnshead has attempted to tap into my nature of being an angry and violent person with what can only be called his desperate cry out for my affection post.
I will not respond to his post, but I will rather put it to productive use in a glorious post of my own surrounding the techniques used the knitting of sweaters for ultimate frisbee teams.
Hey did anyone know they brought back Knight Rider tonight? It was....in a word.....I want to shoot myself. I turned it off...so disrespectful to the Oscar worthy acting of The Hoff himself. Apparently Ford was jealous of the blatant GM product placement in Transformers and needed their own movie to showcase their mediocrity. KITT is not a mustang. End of discussion.
Oh, and playing piano is for stupid heads.

Is this thing on?
Oh blogger...I'm not even sure if I know how to use this thing anymore.
I wish I had some sort of inspiration for a blog...but I don't, so you're subjected to my aimless mind-wanderings again. I refuse to apologize. My mind is a fascinating place...if you like really stupid places.
-Could I hate politics more? Honestly, Barack Obama is stupid, Hillary is a commie!, ugh...ignorant people, oh how I loathe them. One could argue that I'm the ignorant one, since I take no interest in the vote...but seriously. I try each year to remember that I'm free and that this is a priveledge, but the whole thing gets lost in all the separation that happens because of it. Can't we all just get along? 8 years ago it was like, "if you're a Christian, you're a Republican"...it seems this year's theme is, Christian democrats are the hipster cool people of America! Reject Bush and go completely in the opposite direction! Ugh...if I ever get into politics, put two in my chest, one in my head please.
-Even now that I'm "on my own" and doing something I really enjoy, I still hate talking about work. I think there's something wrong with me. Nobody lets you have a pleasant conversation without finding out "what you do" first. This is bothersome to me on many levels, and I'm actually being serious (for once).
-Poker is my latest hobby. I've been playing for awhile, and am playing much more now. I only wish I were a little better at it. All in due time, I guess.
-Food and me, we're getting along lately...but seeing a bit less of each other. I'm excited to be as fast as I possibly can be this year.
-For those keeping score at home, I'm officially back on the music horse. Just joining the worship team at church, playing more at home and trying my hand at writing again. I am fantastically mediocre at all three.
-We are not expecting any kind of baby, human or otherwise.

Does anyone blog anymore?
Though I've been officially "called out" for not blogging, it seems the world of blogging has taken a pretty big hit recently. What gives?
I wish I had more exciting things to talk about, or at least some cats to criticize...my car didn't almost die, I didn't almost die from eating cookie dough, I'm not preparing to go to college and I don't have kids to "say the darndest things." What on earth will I blog about?
Well, it's winter and I'm in love with DVR, so how about TV shows...
Amazing Race - Hooray for TK & Rachel!
LOST - Starts again tonight, very excited!
The Biggest Loser Couples - Seriously, this show is simply fantastic. Not for content, not for excitement, but because it actually makes s difference in people's lives.
American Gladiators - it's back, baby! I'm loving this simply for the reason that it's brought my old college pals back into my daily life...we all used to skip whatever classes we had to meet at the house and watch Gladiators every day. I'll refrain from critiquing...it's just fun to watch.
Ok, I'll do my best to come up with something more insulting, brash and ignorant next time. Like the good old days.
